This past weekend, the team from Findlay Jiu-Jitsu Academy (and a few schools within the Jiu-Jitsu Collective) traveled to Detroit, Michigan to compete at the Grappling Industries Detroit Spring tournament. It was a great opportunity for our athletes to test their skills, gain experience, and represent the academy on the competition stage.

We had several competitors step up and perform exceptionally well, with multiple team members earning podium finishes. More importantly, every athlete who competed showed incredible heart, determination, and a willingness to push themselves outside of their comfort zones. Win or lose, the focus remains the same—growth, learning, and continuous improvement on and off the mats.

We also want to give credit to Grappling Industries for hosting a well-run event. The tournament was organized, efficient, and provided a great environment for competitors of all levels.
