What a great day at Findlay Jiu-Jitsu Academy!

Yesterday, we had the privilege of promoting Ben Miller to black belt after nine years of training with us. Ben represents everything we hope to see in a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt. His technical ability, knowledge, willingness to help others, and dedication to our academy and community make us incredibly proud to award him this rank.

We also celebrated Rich Toeppe receiving his first degree on his black belt, along with several colored belt promotions and stripes. Congratulations to everyone who earned a promotion!

A huge thank you to all the black belts who traveled to join us, and to everyone who came out to celebrate. We had nine black belts and over 50 people on the mats!

One of our favorite parts of the day was watching everyone stay afterward to train, share knowledge, and enjoy each other’s company. We even ended up late to lunch because nobody wanted to leave the mats. That’s a pretty good problem to have!

Days like yesterday remind us how fortunate we are to be surrounded by such a great community.
