Tyler E. Beckley
3x Master World Champion
Certified IBJJF Black belt (2nd Degree) under Jorge Lima Britto
Abu Dhabi World Trial Champion
Tyler began training in the martial arts in 2007 after finishing a college football career at the University of Findlay, where he also earned his degree in Strength & Conditioning. He had his first Amateur Mixed Martial Arts fight in 2008, under the coaching of Gary Young (Demolition Fight Team). He held an Amateur MMA record of 9-2 before turning professional in 2010; his current professional MMA record is 6-2. He has headlined 4 professional cards, and has fought on National TV 3 times.
Along with MMA, Coach Tyler began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Juan Vasquez III with Ribeiro JJ in 2013. In the next 4 years, he earned 3 master world titles. He won Master Worlds at blue belt in 2014, Master Worlds at purple belt in 2015, and Master No-Gi Worlds at brown belt in 2016.
In addition to his 3 master world titles, Coach Tyler has also won multiple IBJJF tournaments in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Toronto and Montreal. He has also won numerous regional tournaments, including the multiple Grappling Industries, Fuji, NAGA, and regional tournaments such as the Michigan Open, and the Ohio State Grappling Championships.
In 2014, Tyler also won gold at the Abu Dhabi World Trials Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This earned him a ticket to Abu Dhabi for the World Pro Championships in the United Arab Emirates located in the Middle East.
In the future, Tyler hopes to follow in the footsteps of his professor, Jorge Britto, by creating more champions on and off the mat, and continuing to build an academy centered around the tenets that they both find important - honor, loyalty, respect, discipline, hard work, and an overall goal of shaping character.
